This is Texas! Beyoncé turned the volume to 100 for her brand new GQ cover, rocking several different hairstyles with tons of body and va-va-voom volume, a la the signature look of the Lonestar State.

On the cover, we get not one but two Beyoncés to pore over. The billboard version wears her platinum blonde hair down in loose waves with tons of lift at the roots, her French-manicured hand gripping a glass of SirDavis whisky, while the smaller Bey who is “painting” said billboard wears her hair sleek and straight with her now-signature cowboy hat perched atop her head.

In another shot, the Cowboy Carter musician puffs on a cigar with her hair pulled up in a glamorous updo of big, full ringlets, with one curl pulled out to brush over her eye. This is night-on-the-town, steakhouse-dinner, post-shopping-spree-at-Neiman-Marcus Texas glam.

Later, we see the star in triplicate wearing her hair in the big, full curls she's sported through much of the Cowboy Carter promo cycle, parted to one side with tons of bombshell body like the beauty pageant hair of yore. It's the same look as the cover pic, but we see more of the hair via the three Beyoncés—not to mention a great detail shot of her mani.

Throughout, Beyoncé's hair was styled by Kim Kimble—using Cécred products, of course. Makeup artist Rokael Lizama gave the star glowing skin with a subtly smoky eye, peach blush, and a matching satiny peach lip.

In the interview, Bey touched on the years-long process to bring SirDavis to life, her family life, and her relationship to fame, as well as why she hasn't appeared in Cécred ads thus far. “When I started my hair care brand, Cécred, I wanted it to be recognized for what it does for real people and their hair,” Beyoncé explained. “When it launched, I made a conscious decision not to appear in the ads. The brand’s first impression needed to stand on its own merit, not be swayed by my influence. I’ve been using these products for years, so I know firsthand how magical they are.”

She also addressed the lack of visuals from Renaissance and Cowboy Carter, saying, “I thought it was important that during a time where all we see is visuals, that the world can focus on the voice.” According to Beyoncé, the “music needed space to breathe on its own. Sometimes a visual can be a distraction from the quality of the voice and the music. The years of hard work and detail put into an album that takes over four years! The music is enough."
